When navigating through Vrideo, the thumbnails of channels and videos are redownloaded every time the menus change. This is particularly time consuming on slow internet connections.
Problem observed on Vrideo for Oculus Rift3 votes
Provide the ability to specify a folder to store VR videos.
I for one installed my Rift on an SSD for performance reasons. However resources such as video are suited to HDDs instead.
This would also permit the use of a desktop client to cache videos (on watch later list) for viewing whilst not needing to be in-app.3 votes
I find using the trackpad on the Gear VR for VRIDEO cumbersome and annoying. I'd much rather be able to use my bluetooth game controller for this.
(Between this an the apparent inability to download videos from the VRIDEO app (while not wearing headset) for later viewing in Gear VR, I'm using VRIDEO less and less lately and may stop using it altogether.)1 vote
there should be the option to save videos on the card1 vote
I'd like to be able to filter for just 3D videos5 votes
Please license a spatial audio engine such as 3Dception, RealSpace, what Milk is using, or some type of HOA (High Order Ambisonics), etc. UTube just announced spatial audio for its player. Purple Pill has licensed TBE. etc.. Will you license either technology? Can there be a meta on an MP4 which will tell your player which engine to use? When can this be implemented? Thanks3 votes
I'd like to be able to Search for videos.11 votes
One of our frequently requested features – so we hear you loud and clear
The GearVR supports h.265 file formats. This could potentially lead to better quality video at equal bitrates as h.264 and also supports higher resolutions which can make 360 video (especially 3D) look better.7 votes
Hot spot interactive layer support.
For add hotspots in the video you set a json/xml file for the video with position, duration and action for the hotspot.
The action can be "Navigate to another video" , "show overlay"
Hotspot can be triggered by "tap" or by "staring".
This way you can build interactive experiences in VRideo app.1 vote
I've noticed with my wife's "Fall Favorites" video that it is flipped left-to-right-- which, in the future, will likely screw up any print on packaging for the items that she wants to show. It's a small nuisance...
But... for the purposes of left-eye/right-eye VR videos, it's a nightmare. As you can imagine, the flip causes a totally incorrect parallax to occur, making my videos difficult to watch.
I love you site and hope to upload more. I imagine the problem can be fixed without me re-uploading my videos!4 votes
